A preform is the raw material of a PET bottle. It is specially shaped according to the design and size of the bottle. Preforms are generally made from PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) material. PET bottle manufacturers later use these preforms to convert them into bottle shapes. Preforms are produced by injection using mold machines.

The preform mold jaw shown here is specifically designed for 10-gram shortneck PET preform production. It is manufactured from high-temperature and pressure-resistant steel alloys, optimized to maintain dimensional stability in the neck area during the injection molding process.

The jaw is surface-treated for enhanced wear resistance, ensuring long-term durability under high-cycle production. Precision surface tolerances and integrated cooling channels allow for rapid form stabilization.

This component is especially preferred in production lines for the water and beverage sectors to improve efficiency and quality.
